Counter-Intelligence

Description

Counter-intelligence, or CI, is the art of preventing adversaries from gathering intel on you. It can involve counter-surveillance, watching for any potential enemy in the vicinity of your personnel or infrastructure, or simply neutralizing any adversaries that are collecting intel. CI also needs to consider IT security as the online domain has become one of the main avenues of gathering intelligence.

PRIMAL Assessment

CI remains the responsibility of the intelligence team and is critical for survival. The Bunker in the Pacific and the Hangar in the UAE remain PRIMAL’s most significant CI risks. The compromise of personnel identities is also a CI weakness. CI measures always need to be integrated into operational planning.
