Counter-Surveillance

Description

A subset of counter-intelligence, counter-surveillance is generally the measures taken to detect adversaries who may be watching you. It is critical in HUMINT to meet with sources and agents without compromising them. It can also involve Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) to detect any audio bugs. Counter-surveillance may include IT security sweeps to detect any hostile IT intrusions such as a Trojan virus.

PRIMAL Assessment

Counter Surveillance techniques are vital to effective operations. They provide immediate security to operatives, equipment, and the overall mission. All PRIMAL operatives are trained in CS techniques and employ them as required. Counter Surveillance procedures may include the neutralization of surveillance threats by lethal or non-lethal means.
