Description

OPSEC, or Operational Security, are the measures taken to protect critical information from adversaries. It includes avoiding communicating operational details on insecure networks such as social media or ‘loose talk’ in a public space. Good OPSEC is critical for special operations where surprise is needed.

PRIMAL Assessment

OPSEC weaknesses are frequently exploited to target terrorists, criminals, and corrupt officials. For PRIMAL’s own operations, OPSEC is critical due to the organization’s small size and covert nature. Friendly OPSEC breaches have the potential to expose the organization to significant threats.
