Description:

The SIS, also known by its historical nickname MI6, is the British foreign intelligence service. Like the CIA, it specializes in human source collection operations to answer intelligence requirements that are of national interest.

Assessment:

In real life this organization does not represent the James Bond-style spy service we see in the movies. Apart from killing the occasional terrorist, they do not send double-O assassins around the globe to kill villains. Like most spy agencies they are hampered by bureaucratic oversight and political considerations.
