TOW

Description

TOW stands for Tube-launched, Optically-tracked, Wire-guided and is an American-made anti-armor missile. Used in both vehicle and helicopter mounted applications, it is too heavy to be man-portable. It is effective for destroying vehicles and buildings out to a range of 4,200m. Since 2014 it has seen use in the Syrian Civil War by both Free Syrian Army and Islamist forces.

PRIMAL Assessment

A potent weapon system for attacking stationary targets however the TOW lacks modern capabilities such as fire and forget, and top attack. It is of limited use for PRIMAL due to its large size.
