QBZ-97

Description

The QBZ-97 is a modern Chinese assault rifle. It utilizes standard 5.56mm NATO rounds which makes it easy to source ammunition for. The bullpup configuration with the magazine to the rear results in a compact rifle.

PRIMAL Assessment

The QBZ series of rifles has had only limited export success with the QBZ-97A in use by Cambodian Special Forces. Its ergonomics and quality are sub-par with the best assault rifles and as such it would not likely be used by PRIMAL unless operatives were attempting to appear as Chinese personnel.
