Type 81

Description

A Chinese evolution of the AKM, the Type 81 has improved ergonomics and stock, and can fire rifle grenades. It is still in service however is gradually being replaced by the Type 95.

PRIMAL Assessment

Like most Chinese weapons the Type 81 emphasizes simplicity and cheap production over quality and innovation. However compared to modern weapons it lacks modularity, adjustability, and ergonomics for firing from both shoulders.
