Description
Also known as a ‘rescue saw’, the breaching circular saw is a versatile tool capable of rapidly cutting through most surfaces. It provides a more surgical option when explosive breaching could injure or kill a hostage. Best used with a diamond blade for maximum effectiveness and longevity.

PRIMAL Assessment
Most gasoline-powered rescue saws are heavy and bulky. Lighter versions including electric saws are available but are generally slower to breach. Diamond blades are recommended even though they are expensive; they are more effective and durable. If the cutting surface is metal, for instance in a maritime situation on a ship, then an exothermic breaching torch may be more suitable.
